Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a DRM/EPR-related field, particularly in displacement or humanitarian contexts. Candidates with longer field-based experience and technical certifications (e.g. CCCM, SPHERE, EPR/DRR trainings) will be given preference.

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in directly managing diverse national staff across various levels and functions, particularly in humanitarian or development field operations.

  • Expertise in Disaster Risk Management (DRM)/Emergency Preparedness & Response (EPR)

  • Strong Background in Site Management Support (SMS) and Community Engagement.

  • Community Resilience Building and Risk Communication

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both field teams, local authorities, and local communities

  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as well as the ability to plan, take initiative and organize work independently

  • Commitment to Learning and Capacity Building

  • Comfortable working in refugee camp settings and spending majority of time in the field

  • Skilled & experienced in community Engagement to promote active participation and ownership of community

  • Creative thinking and open-minded approach to finding solutions (lifetime experience)

Responsibilities & Context:

Type of contract: Full Time/contractual

Duration: 31 December 2025

Key roles and responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Lead the development of the EPR project implementation strategy, including tools, methodologies, and systems tailored to emergency preparedness and response in camp settings.
  • Coordinate and obtain required approvals from local authorities, CiC offices, and other relevant entities for smooth project initiation.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments in collaboration with MEAL and Program Development (PD) teams to identify preparedness and response needs.
  • Support the development of implementation plans, including SOPs, guidelines, and concept notes for project expansion based on lessons learned and field realities in the field of DRM.
  • Participate in the development and periodic review of the organization’s Emergency Response Plan and ensure camp-level preparedness integration.
