Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC "Provide Access to Quality, Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Education for Rohingya Children and Adolescents (3-18) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the Myanmar Curriculum (KG-Grade 12) in Cox’s Bazar” Project funded by UNICEF.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall technical assistance to CODEC-UNICEF Education project’s construction/repair/maintenance works, from their planning to their implementation and monitoring.
Responsible to ensure effective quality control systems are in place to ensure compliance with technical specifications and CODEC quality standards.
Ensure all technical inputs and cost estimates related to the construction components are accurate, timely provided and included in the project proposals and budgets.
S/he is responsible to perform diverse tasks to ensure that construction/repair of the LC/ECD centers are meeting deadlines and being completed in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure that all equipment is working properly.
From on-site visits to project scheduling and team building.
Construction Engineer is a hands-on manager of various labours working on a particular construction project.
Support the procurement committee in all tender exercises for the procurement of construction related services and supplies
Provide support and guidance to Site Engineers for better outcome.
Ensure that teams are working together with the sole objective of completing a project while adhering to deadlines, specifications.
Identify and manage risks and initiate corrective action where necessary, so that maximum benefit to CODEC is achieved.
Involved in planning, organizing and controlling projects as well as budgeting.
Provide weekly construction progress monitoring report which is acknowledged and verified by the technical supervisor as well as Program Manager.
Other work may be assigned by the Programme Manager as and when required.
