Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Education, Social Sciences, ECD, Development Studies, or a relevant discipline.

  • Preferably 1–2 years of experience in ECD, education, community mobilization, child-focused, or NGO/development programs.

  • Experience working with children, caregivers, teachers, and communities will be preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.Strong community mobilization and coordination skills.

  • Basic knowledge of child development, child-friendly learning, and positive parenting.

  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and digital data collection tools.Good documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.

  • Ability to conduct regular field and household visits.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to child rights, safeguarding, gender equality, inclusion, and non-discrimination.

    Duration: 01 September to 31 October 2028.

    Location: Chitalmari, Bagerhat.



Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications for the position of Field Organizer for establishing 60 Early Childhood Development (ECD) Schools under the CODEC CCA Project funded by Stromme Foundation, located at Chitalmari, Bagerhat.)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Early Childhood Development (ECD) Field Organizer

Department/Project: Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program
Reports To: ECD Technical Officer/Project Manager
Duty Station: Assigned Project Location

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct child mapping, household visits, and community mobilization to identify and enroll eligible children in ECD services.

  • Promote regular attendance and participation of children through follow-up visits and caregiver engagement.

  • Regularly monitor assigned ECD centers to ensure safe, clean, inclusive, child-friendly, and stimulating learning environments.

  • Monitor teacher/facilitator attendance, lesson delivery, classroom management, and use of learning materials.

  • Support teachers/facilitators in applying age-appropriate, child-centered, and inclusive teaching practices.

  • Maintain updated records of child enrollment, attendance, absenteeism, dropout, and follow-up activities.

  • Conduct home visits to follow up on frequently absent or at-risk children.

  • Organize parent/caregiver meetings and support parenting sessions on child development, nutrition, health, hygiene, positive parenting, and child protection.

  • Promote inclusion, gender equality, non-discrimination, and meaningful participation of children with disabilities and marginalized children.

  • Follow organizational policies on child safeguarding, child protection, PSEA, and Code of Conduct and report concerns immediately.

  • Support the distribution and inventory management of ECD learning materials and center supplies.

  • Support data collection, verification, monitoring, documentation, and reporting using relevant tools.

  • Prepare field monitoring notes, success stories, case studies, and reports as required.

  • Coordinate with ECD teachers/facilitators, caregivers, community leaders, M&E Officer, and other stakeholders.

  • Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
