Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC "Strengthening the protective environment for children through a Comprehensive child protection and GBV response in the Rohingya camps and host communities in Cox’s Bazar” Project funded by UNICEF.

Responsibilities:

  • S/he will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS), Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM), and Gender and Social Inclusion (GSI) standards in project implementation.

  • Responsible to focus on minimizing environmental risks, promoting social inclusion through social standards, and safeguard standards,

  • Strong knowledge of Environmental and Social Frameworks (ESF), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).

  • Support the project team to ensure activities are implemented in accordance with donor requirements, national regulations, and organizational policies while promoting accountability, transparency, and gender equality.

  • Conduct regular monitoring of environmental and social risks

  • Ensure mitigation measures are implemented effectively

  • Provide guidance to staff and partners on ESS complianceUnderstanding of child safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI).

  • Experience with GRM (Grievance Redress Mechanisms), field supervision, and reporting.

  • Excellent skills in preparing technical, environmental, and social reports.

  • High level of adaptability, communication skills in English (and local languages if required, e.g., Bangla/Rohingya), and willingness to travel to field sites.

  • Experience in humanitarian or development projects, particularly in complex, high-risk contexts.

  • Establish and manage Community Feedback and Response Mechanism systems

  • Ensure confidential and accessible complaint handling processes

  • Promote gender equality and social inclusion in all project activities

  • Ensure gender-sensitive programming and implementation

  • Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and government regulations
