Key Responsibilities

Protection Program Oversight and Implementation

·         Provide overall technical leadership for protection-related components of the project.

·         Ensure effective implementation of protection activities in line with project objectives, work plans, and humanitarian protection standards.

·         Provide technical guidance to field staff on protection mainstreaming, gender equality, and survivor-centered approaches.

·         Support the operation and quality delivery of protection-related services through Multi-Purpose Women’s Centers (MPWCs).

·         Ensure that protection interventions are implemented in a culturally sensitive and participatory manner.

Reporting and Documentation

·         Collect and consolidate protection activity reports from partner organizations and project teams.

·         Must have the ability to use GBVIMS and prepare 5W reports.

·         Review partner reports to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with donor requirements.

·         Prepare and submit periodic narrative and progress reports to UN Women in coordination with the Program Coordinator.

·         Maintain proper documentation of protection interventions, lessons learned, and best practices.

·         Support preparation of donor updates, success stories, and program documentation.

Coordination and Partnership Management

·         Coordinate protection activities among project partners and implementing teams to ensure effective program delivery.

·         Maintain regular communication with partner NGOs and relevant stakeholders involved in protection programming.

·         Participate in relevant humanitarian coordination forums, including protection and gender-related working groups.

·         Maintain coordination with Camp-in-Charge (CiC) offices, local authorities, and sector partners.

·         Facilitate collaboration between community groups, women leaders, and project stakeholders.

Monitoring, Quality Assurance, and Compliance

·         Oversee monitoring of protection activities to ensure compliance with humanitarian standards and project commitments.

·         Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation and provide technical support to field teams.

·         Ensure adherence to international protection principles, including Do No Harm, confidentiality, and survivor-centered approaches.

·         Identify program gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen protection outcomes.

·         Support monitoring and evaluation processes including baseline, midline, and end-line assessments.

 

Advocacy and Representation

·         Represent the project in protection coordination meetings, sector working groups, and relevant stakeholder forums.

·         Advocate for protection needs and gaps affecting women and girls in Rohingya camps and host communities.

·         Support evidence-based advocacy initiatives to promote gender equality and protection priorities.

·         Engage with donors, government stakeholders, and humanitarian actors to strengthen protection responses.

 

Capacity Building and Team Support

·         Provide technical mentoring and guidance to project staff on protection principles and gender-sensitive programming.

·         Support capacity building initiatives for partner organizations and community groups.

·         Promote knowledge sharing and learning among project staff and partners.

 

Safeguarding and Protection Standards

·         Ensure strict adherence to Nari Maitree’s safeguarding policies, including Child Safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Code of Conduct.

·         Promote safe and respectful environments for project participants, particularly women and girls.

·         Ensure confidentiality and ethical management of protection information.
