  • Candidates should be able to coach the learners in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics subjects of MC secondary curriculum.

  • Keep liaison with relevant NGOs, local representatives and field level GoB officials and education-related organizations for effective program implementation and enhancing quality.

  • Disseminate new information, lessons learnt, government`s new policies and programs etc to the appropriate forums when needed.

  • Strong Report Writing Skill in English. Must have experience in the related field.

  • Must have knowledge of Local Language



Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following position from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC "Provide Access to Quality, Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Education for Rohingya Children and Adolescents (3-18) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) and the Myanmar Curriculum (KG-Grade 12) in Cox’s Bazar” Project funded by UNICEF.

  • The program is implemented with the objectives of creating a safe and protected child-friendly environment and providing quality basic education to some 99,461 Rohingya children in the Thirteen refugee camps (Camps 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, and 27) and makeshift involving communities through the following achievements:

    ·        Ensure enrollment of 5000 Rohingya children in ECE.

    ·        Ensure enrollment of 83,028 learners in Myanmar Curriculum Primary for primary school-aged children .

    ·        Ensure enrollment of 11,433 learners in Myanmar Curriculum Secondary in secondary school-aged children

    Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular teaching and learning activities in MC Secondary grades especially in Grades 9,10, & 11 and above on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

  • Regularly develop lesson plans and teaching-learning materials and support the learners accordingly.

  • Regularly follow up learning progress of the learners and share with line supervisor.

  • Participate in professional development training and support learners and others teachers as needed.

  • Help teachers in preparing content-related materials and use those materials in science and mathematics classroom teaching

  • Develop and share a monthly support plan with the respective supervisor and provide support to the learners and other teachers in the selected camps.

  • Identify further needs of the specific weak teachers in coordination with the Master Trainer and Mentor teacher.

  • Contribute in teaching-learning circle (TLC) in line with continuous professional development of his/her own and others teachers.

  • Engage in the reflective practice session to develop their professional expertise.

  • Assist the project team, as needed, in the process of training and teacher support data collection/management.

  • Provide Ed-Tech support in the class in coordination with line supervisor.Follow the child protection rules, gender rules, PSEA rules, code of conduct and organizational policy accordingly.

  • Reduce absenteeism by visiting absent learners’ houses if necessary, and attend Parents and CESG meetings regularly.

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
