Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible for:

  • Project Manager is overall responsible for implementing all project activities in the target areas.
  • Identifying appropriate capacity-building activities involving the beneficiary and stakeholders
  • Support to conduct training and guide project staff in organizing training, workshop and other events.
  • Provide support to the Coastal team to implement community-initiated DRR activities
  • Look after the field management, logistic supply and resources
  • Ensuring financial management at the Project level and maintaining accurate financial documents.
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison and network at the programme unit level that includes local GOB departments, LGIs, educational institutions, NGOs, CPP Volunteers and similar projects under implementation in the area. 
  • Assist in documentation and establishing and maintaining liaison/ network at programme unit level, including among District and Upazila level GOB departments, LGIs, other organizations and stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings with stakeholders regularly; take minutes of the meeting and circulate the minutes.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams within the organization and have the capacity to maintain a supportive network with Local Govt., NGOs and others.
  • Willingness to travel in difficult geography.
  • Undertake other duties as per the requirements of the project

Activities:

  • Project Manager will ensure the implementation of project activities in the target areas.
  • Identifying appropriate capacity-building activities involving the beneficiary and stakeholders
  • Support to develop a training module, imparting training and guiding project staff in organizing training, workshop and other events.
  • Provide support to the project team for implementing community activities related to Disaster Risk Reduction
  • Look after the field management, logistic supply and resources
  • Work jointly with the CPP team during cyclone signal hosting, including the dissemination of signal messages, rescue operation, evacuation of affected people etc.
  • Ensure a project team member for resilient activities like Water and Sanitation, Shelter, Plantation and Small-scale Intervention    
  • Develop a monthly work plan, and fund requisition as per plan.
  • Ensure Financial procedure for implementing field-level activities and keeping documents (bills/vouchers) in consultation with the respective Finance person and the Regional Coordinator
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison and network at the program unit level that includes local GOB departments, LGIs, educational institutions, NGOs, Volunteers and similar projects under implementation in the area. 
  • Report writing, including narrative, activity report, case study and other reports as per the requirements of the supervisor.
  • Regular field visit, and follow-up activities as per plan.
  • Assist in documentation and establishing and maintaining liaison/ network at program unit level, including among District and Upazila level GOB departments, LGIs, other organizations and stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings with stakeholders regularly; take minutes of the meeting and circulate the minutes.
