Job Overview

NetZe Eco Energy Solution Limited is looking for an experienced and technically capable Project Engineer – Solar PV to lead and manage Solar PV projects from site preparation through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

The selected candidate will take overall responsibility for assigned projects and will lead the project team at site. The role requires strong technical knowledge, practical field experience, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to coordinate clients, contractors, technicians, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Take overall responsibility for the successful execution and completion of assigned Solar PV projects.

• Lead and supervise the complete project team at site, including technicians, electricians, subcontractors, and other field personnel.

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily project activities according to approved designs, project schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards.

• Supervise the installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, DC/AC cabling, protection systems, earthing, and other related equipment.

• Conduct site surveys, measurements, technical assessments, and installation inspections.

• Review and implement approved drawings, layouts, BOQs, technical specifications, and installation requirements.

• Monitor material requirements, manpower, workmanship, project progress, and site activities.

• Perform or supervise testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and system handover.

• Identify technical and operational problems and take appropriate action to resolve them.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.

• Ensure all project activities comply with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Prepare progress reports, site inspection reports, testing reports, commissioning documents, and other required project documentation.

• Ensure projects are completed within the approved scope, schedule, quality requirements, and company standards.

• Report project progress, major issues, risks, and requirements directly to management.

Team Leadership

• Take command of the assigned project team and allocate responsibilities according to project requirements.

• Supervise and coordinate technicians, electricians, subcontractors, and other field personnel.

• Maintain proper discipline, coordination, productivity, and communication within the project team.

• Ensure that all team members follow approved technical procedures, safety requirements, and project instructions.

• Take necessary decisions at site within the authority provided by management and promptly escalate major technical, commercial, or operational issues.

Technical Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of Solar PV systems and project execution.

• Good understanding of DC and AC electrical systems, cable sizing, protection systems, earthing, inverters, and related equipment.

• Practical knowledge of On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems.

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, PV layouts, single-line diagrams, BOQs, and technical specifications.

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of installation quality and site safety requirements.

• Ability to prepare and review project reports and technical documentation.
