  • Demonstrate project management skills
  • Having analytical skills and able to plan, evaluate and meet deadlines
  • Sound knowledge on Hijra and Marginalized population.
  • Management framework knowledge and strong Managerial capacity.
  • Ability to move frequently in project sites 


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context :

The Project Coordinator is the senior leadership position of the project to oversee the overall management, coordination and implementation of project activities and directly reportable to the portfolio Director (Director – Operations) under overall strategic guidance of the Executive Director. S/he will be responsible for people management and capacity building of the project operational management team and ensuring that all Nagorikata- CEF award requirements are met. S/he will be responsible for identifying potential CBOs led by Hijra and other marginalized population, integrate services and establish partnership with government and non-government organizations/service providers, identify potential champions from the Hijra and other marginalized population at the national and local levels. S/he will be responsible to provide the technical inputs for activity planning, designing quality assurance and reporting. S/he will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating project achievements to ensure milestones are met, leveraging lessons learned from other projects and incorporating these insights into the planning of future interventions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall activities under the project and ensure required support/assistance to the team members and field level focal persons/coordinators·        
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and yearly operation plan and event calendar as per project guideline.        
  • Assist program team members and maintain liaison with the field activities/CBOs·        
  • Effectively coordinate the all activities as per project milestone.        
  • Maintain liaison with donors and relevant stakeholders, management agencies, partner organizations, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Law Commission, NGO Bureau, DC office, Law enforcing agencies, Social Welfare department, Health Ministry, Department of Youth, City Corporation, National Legal Aid Service Organization (NLASO), DLAC etc.       
  • Conduct various consultation meeting, Seminar, workshop, Roundtable, training etc.
  • Organize and coordinate various fellowship program e.g. Lawyers, Media and Student etc.
  • Produce periodic reports on the performance of the project.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor progress·
  • Consultation with the stakeholders for the inclusion of Hijra and other marginalized population and coordinate to host different types of capacity building trainings, workshops, meetings, seminars.
  • Coordinate the implementation of project align to its vision, mission and strategy of the project and organization as well.
  • Coordinate strategic and yearly planning processes and implementation of the project activities.
  • Support the project in periodic Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PMEL) in liaison with other team members of the project.
  • Ensure necessary cooperation and support between government authorities, donors including relevant stakeholders.   
  • Prepare various progress reports, event report and presentations for the program for management, concerned donors and other stakeholders and ensure timely submission.
  • Assist concern body to review and evaluate project status and act accordingly to meet the goal.
  • Ensure that learning generated from each activity is documented and shared·
  • Establish links with relevant GO institutions, NGOs and international organizations for knowledge exchange·
  • Ensure timely and appropriate action in designing, planning and implementing advocacy related work and campaigns.
  • Prepare monthly work plan to take initiative for implement the activities as per the approved work plan of the project.
  • Arrange meeting with CSOs, CBOs, Corporate sectors and Govt for creating job access of Hijra and other marginalized population.
  • Coordinate in organizing meetings/rallies or observing any events as per project activities.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation and contribute to the promotion of advocacy by:
  • a. Developing advocacy brief/IEC / BCC materials (i.e. Booklet, leaflet, poster, sticker etc.)
  • b. Contribute in managing articles/ writing for Newsletter or Annual report or any kinds of publications and publish as well as disseminate accordingly.
  • Organize Networking meeting with youth community leaders and influential adults’ leaders.
  • Assist concern body to review and evaluate project status and act accordingly to meet the goal.
  • Provide technical support in developing Project Proposals and Project Concept Notes to Management.
