Responsibilities & Context:

·         Lead and coordinate Bandhu’s mental health program: Provide overall coordination of mental health services and ensure smooth implementation of planned activities across locations and teams.

·         Supervise the counselling workforce: Provide day-to-day technical supervision to mental health counsellors, ensuring quality, ethical practice, client safety, and adherence to organizational protocols and confidentiality standards.

·         Supervise outreach supervision team: Guide and support outreach supervisors to ensure effective field coordination, timely service delivery, and consistent documentation and reporting from the outreach level.

·         Ensure high-quality counselling services: Provide counselling support (virtually and in-person) when required, including case management, session planning, and maintaining professional standards aligned with psychosocial care best practices.

·         Strengthen referral and follow-up systems: Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and relevant service providers for referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate clinical support.

·         Manage mental health data systems: Maintain and oversee the organization’s mental health database/sheets and data tools; ensure accurate entry, secure storage, and systematic tracking of client services and program outputs.

·         Data collection, analysis, and reporting: Collect, compile, review, and analyze counselling and outreach data; produce periodic reports, insights, and recommendations to improve service quality and decision-making.

·         Provide technical support and capacity building: Support counsellors and outreach teams with guidance on case handling, documentation, and service improvement; identify gaps and facilitate learning sessions or coaching as needed.

·         Administrative management for the team: Handle administrative responsibilities related to counsellors and supervisors, including planning schedules, monitoring performance, supporting coordination needs, and ensuring timely submission of required documentation.

·         Quality assurance and continuous improvement: Monitor service standards, track performance indicators, and implement corrective actions to strengthen client experience and program effectiveness.

·         Stakeholder coordination: Coordinate internally and externally as required to support service delivery (e.g., clinics, referral points, program teams), ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

·         Program leadership and representation: Represent Bandhu’s mental health support function in relevant coordination spaces when assigned, and contribute to strengthening the organization’s mental health strategy and service expansion.

·         Any other organizational support as needed: Undertake additional tasks assigned by the organization/management related to program improvement, emergency response support, or organizational priorities aligned with mental health and psychosocial wellbeing.
