Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
∎ Support the Project Manager/site engineer in the implementation of the overall WASH intervention.
∎ Supervise the technical components of the WASH interventions and ensuring the implementation of the required activities for the successful completion of the different projects activities, following closely the donors' requirements and the directions of the Project Manager/site engineer.
∎ The Programme Officer will be responsible for implementing the project activity and achieving the objectives.
∎ (S)/he will be responsible for preparing the project updates, regular report and documentation
∎ Any other task agreed as assigned by line Manager
∎ Relationships:
∎ S/he will report to Project Manager (Site Engineer) of ActionAid Bangladesh. S/he is expected to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers in team, priority, project management team. S/he must be able to communicate with other teams and units, both programme and function of AAB.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years professional experience in humanitarian and/or development programs and in the relevant field.
∎ Experience in the implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene related projects preferably in the Humanitarian Field;
∎ Sound knowledge of water, sanitation and hygiene principles for humanitarian assistance, and other relevant trainings;
∎ Excellent Monitoring and Evaluation Skills; Organizational Skills; Ability to work with minimal supervision;
∎ Experience in post-crisis emergency operations;
∎ Good report writing skills.
∎ Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel
∎ Proficiency on local language can be an added value
∎ Experience in Rohingya camp is highly desired.
∎ Fluency in English is required.
