  • Age 30 to 45 years
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in garment manufacturing (both knit & woven preferred) with at least 5-8 years in a production manager or senior supervisory role in an export‐oriented factory.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of managing both knit and woven production lines from cutting to shipment.
  • Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes: knit & woven fabrics, cutting operations, sewing, finishing, packing, shipping.
  • Experience in managing large scale production: multiple lines, shifts, large manpower, export deadlines.
  • Good skills in Production Planning, Work Study/IE, SMV, line balancing, efficiency improvement and cost control.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills: ability to motivate and develop teams, enforce discipline and accountability.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills: able to work with internal departments and external stakeholders (buyers, auditors).
  • Good knowledge of buyer compliance standards, quality inspection systems, on‐time‐shipping metrics.
  • Good computer skills: MS Office, production reporting tools; familiarity with ERP/MES a plus.
  • Age: Below 45 years (as per company policy).
  • Preferable: Experience in Bangladesh garment industry, knowledge of local labour law & regulations.

Responsibilities & Context:

Reporting to: General Manager

Responsibility: End-to-end production from cutting through to shipment for both knit & woven garments, ensuring quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage the full production flow: cutting → sewing → finishing → packing → shipment (cut to ship).
  • Develop production schedules and ensure delivery timelines are met, with minimum delay.
  • Manage and monitor KPIs such as output, efficiency, On-Time In Full (OTIF), rejects/defects, rework, cost per unit, manpower utilization.
  • Coordinate cross‐functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Ensure both knit and woven production lines are managed effectively: understand differences in process, fabric, machine, manpower for both.
  • Maintain cost control: labour cost, overheads, waste, re‐work, idle time.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives: Lean manufacturing (WIP control), work study/IE (industrial engineering), line balancing, SMV reduction, process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with social & safety standards
  • Lead, coach and develop production teams: supervisors, line leaders, operators. Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, quality and on‐time delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular production performance reports to senior managements: daily/monthly production status, line efficiency, downtime analysis, shipment readiness, quality issues.
  • Troubleshoot production issues (machine breakdowns, material delays, manpower shortage) and take corrective action promptly.
  • Ensure fabric, trims, accessories are ready for production, coordinate with cutting and planning to minimize delay, monitor WIP and flow.
  • Work with maintenance/engineering to maintain machines, ensure minimal downtime, and keep production lines running smoothly.
