Job Context:
∎ Swisscontact is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Officer - Program Implementation for an anticipated program to be implemented by Swisscontact.
∎ We are looking for a hardworking, innovative, and forward-thinking Officer - Program Implementation to support the Manager - Program Implementation with partnership and stakeholder management and program implementation. Support capacity building of partners, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing to drive program success. Build effective relationships with local stakeholders for community development initiatives. Support the program team for evaluating impact.
∎ Employment start:1 October, 2023
∎ Place of work: Dhaka, Bangladesh with extensive visits to the program field locations - Habiganj, Moulvibazar, Sunamganj, and Sylhet.
∎ Reports to: Manager - Program Implementation

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the identification of partners and subcontractors to deliver services to the target group.
∎ Assist in the identification of demand-driven occupations and self-employment-based training opportunities for local youth.
∎ Assist in identifying deserving students for scholarships including female students.
∎ Organize coordination events and education campaigns with student and parents.
∎ Assist in identifying suitable Teacher Training College and Institutes to conduct training sessions for primary and secondary school teachers.
∎ Support content and training module development, Training of Trainers (ToT) delivery to Instructors (Training Service Provider Staff).
∎ Facilitate in delivering skills training, Workplace Based Training (WBT), and entrepreneurship training to local youth.
∎ Assist partners organization identifying industries for job opportunities.
∎ Collaborate with financial institutions and local market actors to provide financial support for local youth in self-employment.
∎ Assist is identifying Cooperatives in the selected locations for delivering cooperative governance and business development services.
∎ Assist in identifying healthcare providers, facilitating health and medical campaigns.
∎ Collaborate with government agencies and local NGOs for biodiversity campaigns.
∎ Collaborate with government agencies, local NGOs, youth-led organizations, and the private sector for emergency relief to local communities during disasters.
∎ Support preparation of progress reports (quarterly, and annually).
∎ Provide continuous feedback to the supervisor about the implementation progress of the program.
∎ Support the supervisor to ensure positive working environment for staff irrespective of their gender, age, beliefs, race, etc.
∎ Support the supervisor to ensure a workplace free of any types of discrimination.
∎ Support the supervisor on the application and operationalisation of the following guidelines to support risk identification and management process:
∎ Monitoring & Results Measurement (MRM) Guidelines
∎ Risk Management Strategy
∎ Communications Strategy
∎ Collaborate with other programs within the organisation as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duty(s) in line with the roles and responsibilities provided, as/when assigned by the supervisor and or by the Team Leader of the program.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1-3 years of work experience in any organization involved in skills development, education, cooperatives development programs, etc.
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Good computer literacy in MS Office programs (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
∎ Demonstrate ability to manage complexities and stakeholders.
∎ Willingness to travel extensively in the field.
∎ Physical Demands: Field visits play a large part in the incumbent's activities; as such, it is expected that the incumbent is willing and able to take part in such activities as and when needed and sometimes within short notice.
