ABOUT JENNYS GROUP

Jennys Group is one of Bangladesh's established business groups with a strong foundation in footwear manufacturing, export, and industrial development. The Group operates across four entities: Jennys Shoes Ltd. and Five-R Footwear Ltd., both engaged in the manufacturing and export of footwear to international markets; Jennys International Ltd., which handles the Group's international trade and export operations; and Bangladesh Shoe City (BSCL) Ltd., a privately developed industrial manufacturing zone in Konabari, Gazipur built to attract global footwear brands seeking compliant, infrastructure-ready production facilities in Bangladesh.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Jennys Group expands its operations across four entities, there is a growing need for a structured and reliable HR and administration function at the corporate level. The HR & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources and office administration activities across the Group. This is a high-trust role with access to sensitive employee information, salary data, and confidential organizational records across all four group entities — absolute discretion and integrity are non-negotiable. The role requires equal strength in people management and organizational efficiency, and the ability to work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and staff across all entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

•     Manage end-to-end recruitment for all corporate-level positions — job posting, screening, shortlisting, interview coordination, and offer processing

•     Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all roles across group entities in coordination with department heads

2. Employee Records & HR Administration

•     Maintain accurate and confidential employee records for all staff across group entities — contracts, personal files, leave records, and attendance

•     Track and manage leave entitlements, attendance, and staff movements across all four entities

•     Prepare monthly HR reports and headcount summaries for management

3. Payroll & Compensation

•     Prepare monthly payroll inputs — attendance, overtime, deductions, and adjustments — and coordinate with Finance for timely disbursement

•     Ensure all salary and compensation records are accurately maintained and updated

4. Labour Law & Compliance

•     Ensure the Group's HR practices are in compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act and all applicable employment regulations

•     Maintain proper documentation for all disciplinary actions, warnings, and grievance proceedings

•     Coordinate with the legal team on employment-related disputes, terminations, and regulatory matters

•     Keep all employment contracts, appointment letters, and HR policies current and legally compliant

5. HR Policy & Staff Development

•     Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies and the employee handbook across all group entities

•     Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to Group HR policies and procedures

•     Identify training and development needs across departments and coordinate relevant programs

•     Support staff welfare initiatives and maintain a positive and professional working environment

•     Ensure the office environment meets health and safety requirements in line with applicable regulations

6. Office Administration

•     Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the corporate head office — supplies, facilities, housekeeping, and vendor coordination

•     Manage office procurement — stationery, equipment, and consumables — ensuring cost efficiency and timely availability

•     Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, and logistics for management and staff as required

•     Manage the scheduling and logistics of internal meetings, management sessions, and company events

•     Maintain a proper filing and documentation system for all administrative records

•     Manage relationships with office service providers, landlords, and utility vendors

7. Cross-functional Coordination

•     Liaise with Finance on payroll, staff costs, and employee-related financial matters

•     Coordinate with Legal on employment contracts, disciplinary matters, and labour compliance

•     Support senior management with scheduling, correspondence, and internal communications as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•     Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

•     3–5 years of experience in an HR and administration role, preferably within a group company or multi-entity organization

•     Proven experience managing payroll inputs, employee records, and HR documentation

•     Experience developing or maintaining HR policies and an employee handbook is preferred

•     Experience handling recruitment end-to-end and managing the employee lifecycle

 SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

•     Strong written and verbal communication in Bengali and English

•     Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

•     Discreet and professional in handling confidential employee and organizational information

•     Approachable and people-oriented, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels

•     Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping habits

•     Proficient in MS Office — Word, Excel, and Outlook

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

•     BDT 35,000 per month

•     Two festival bonuses per year (Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha)

•     Lunch provided at the office

•     Performance incentives and additional benefits as per Group policy
