ABOUT JENNYS GROUP
Jennys Group is one of Bangladesh's established business groups with a strong foundation in footwear manufacturing, export, and industrial development. The Group operates across four entities: Jennys Shoes Ltd. and Five-R Footwear Ltd., both engaged in the manufacturing and export of footwear to international markets; Jennys International Ltd., which handles the Group's international trade and export operations; and Bangladesh Shoe City (BSCL) Ltd., a privately developed industrial manufacturing zone in Konabari, Gazipur built to attract global footwear brands seeking compliant, infrastructure-ready production facilities in Bangladesh.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Group scales its operations, there is a need for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function across all four entities. The role sits within an existing finance and accounting team, reports to the Managing Director and Director, and is the primary point of accountability for the Group's financial operations, compliance, and reporting. This is a high-trust role with access to sensitive financial data, banking information, and confidential business records across all four group entities — absolute discretion and integrity are non-negotiable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Planning & Reporting
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly management accounts for the Managing Director and Board
• Build and maintain financial models for investment decisions, project costing, and operational planning
• Track financial KPIs across all four entities and flag risks and variances to senior management
• Prepare financial documentation packages for banks, lenders, and investors including credit renewals and financial summaries
2. Accounting & Statutory Compliance
• Oversee all accounting operations across four companies: GL, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets
• Manage inter-company transactions, cost allocations, and reconciliations across group entities
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Bangladesh Accounting Standards (BAS)
• Manage all NBR filings — VAT, income tax, withholding tax — accurately and on schedule
• Lead coordination with external auditors for annual audits across all entities; ensure BIDA and RJSC compliance
• Oversee payroll authorization and ensure timely, accurate disbursement across all group entities
3. Treasury, Banking & Trade Finance
• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, cash flow, and working capital across entities
• Handle LC documentation and processes for export and import transactions
• Evaluate and structure financing arrangements including project finance related to BSCL
• Oversee the Group's insurance portfolio across all entities — renewals, coverage adequacy, and claims coordination
4. Internal Controls & Systems
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls, approval workflows, and accounting policies across the Group
• Oversee the integrity of accounting systems and financial data across all four entities
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements in coordination with management
5. Team & Cross-functional Collaboration
• Lead and support the existing finance and accounting team, providing guidance and review of their work
• Work with legal and operations teams on contracts, costs, vendor payments, and due diligence
• Coordinate with HR on payroll, employment costs, and any financial aspects of HR matters
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA, CMA, or ACCA qualification strongly preferred
• 6–9 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a group company or export-oriented business
• Proven experience managing multi-entity financials including inter-company reconciliations and consolidated reporting
• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh tax law, VAT, and NBR compliance with a clean track record of timely filings
• Hands-on experience with LC documentation, export finance, and trade instruments
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and delivering clean audit outcomes
• Prior experience leading or supervising a finance team is an advantage
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Advanced Excel proficiency; ERP or accounting software experience is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication in Bengali and English
• Able to manage multiple entities and competing priorities with accuracy and reliability
• Able to work under pressure and meet non-negotiable deadlines including NBR filings and audit timelines
• High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial and business information across all group entities
• Comfortable engaging professionally with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and senior management
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and develop junior finance staff
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• BDT 70,000 per month
• Two festival bonuses per year (Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha)
• Lunch provided at the office
• Performance incentives and additional benefits as per Group policy
