Purpose of the Position:
To lead a fair, transparent, and legally compliant employee grievance and disciplinary management system across all businesses and functions, ensuring timely resolution, minimizing legal risk, strengthening industrial harmony, and protecting organizational reputation in compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act, Labour Rules, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead employee grievance management across all businesses and corporate functions.
Drive disciplinary proceedings in compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act and Labour Rules.
Ensure fair, impartial, and timely investigation of employee complaints and misconduct.
Represent the organization before relevant government authorities, including the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE).
Develop disciplinary procedures, grievance policies, and investigation frameworks.
Review show cause notices, charge sheets, enquiry reports, suspension letters, and disciplinary decisions.
Advise business leaders on employee relations, legal compliance, and disciplinary risk.
Monitor grievance trends and recommend preventive employee relations initiatives.
Coordinate with Legal, HR Business Partners, Administration, and Business Heads on complex employee relations matters.
Maintain confidential grievance and disciplinary records with complete legal documentation.
Conduct awareness sessions on labor law, employee rights, disciplinary procedures, and workplace ethics.
Strengthen governance by ensuring consistent application of disciplinary policies across all business units.
