∎ Job Summary: Telling story through digital and conventional media will be the key responsibility of Officer - Communications. The staff will assist the process of ensuring the organisation`s brand and identities through different contents. Moreover, she/he will support to ensure strong and active visibility of ActionAid Bangladesh work offline and online. Likewise, he/she will support the Manager to develop organisation`s communication & media strategy and its framework to implement issue specific communication plans and media campaigns in collaboration with the programme counterparts. S/he is expected to develop IEC, BCC contents/materials. The person will also work to identify key issues to be promoted in digital and conventional media to make strategies. Finally, the persona should have a good command in English.
∎ Relationships: Officer - Communication will report to Manager - Communications of ActionAid Bangladesh. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both programme and operational.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Content Generation & Dissemination:
∎ Produce contents for IEC and BCC materials (Case story, photo story, report, newsletter, story book, bulletins, posters, brochures, handbooks, fact sheets, case studies, flip charts, video documentaries and etc)
∎ Develop media content (Digital & Conventional): Blogs, visual story, multimedia content, news article, press release, media advisory
∎ Work to identify key issues to be promoted in digital and conventional media to make strategies. (New media/digital media trend analysis, SEO, digital marketing, conventional media trend analysis)
∎ Support to filter contents for website & social media
∎ Work with content focal points for AAB to develop and stock content.
∎ Programme/Project/Event-end documentation (textual and/or visual)
∎ Build and update inventory for print and visual products
∎ Support to develop & manage AAB website & digital platforms
∎ Support to emergency focal person to prepare/collect/edit materials, i.e. situation report case study, report, article, etc
∎ Maintain Database/archive all the IEC, BCC, Digital contents
∎ Mass Media Mobilisation:
∎ Support to organise media events for the organisation, in collaboration with the programme team/s, of organisational priorities and work on related media coverage with the focal person.
∎ Support to map the local, national and international press and develop a media database which will also support designing the relationship guideline with targeted media
∎ Support to design and implement the media campaign plan aligned with programme campaigns and projects
∎ Support to develop a media protocol, report and database.
∎ Communication, Strategy & Brands:
∎ Support to develop the organisation's communication & media strategy
∎ Play active role in identifying related actors, make them operational to process the strategy and its framework so that the players are influenced by/act in favour of the organisation and activate them as part of communication framework
∎ Support to ensure effective internal and external communications according to the AAB brand and standards.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experiences in communication field in a reputed organisation.
∎ Having professional course or training on content writing, new media, communication strategy, digital communication/marketing will be given priority.
∎ Other Requirements:
∎ Strong command in English to produce contents.
∎ Communication and report writing skills both in English and Bengali (with composing skill).
∎ Skills in photography and Videography.
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, prioritise and multi-task work seamlessly.
∎ Good negotiation, motivational, team-building skills.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 60264 (Monthly)
∎ Salary and benefits : Monthly Gross Salary will be 60,264/- with other admissible benefits such as festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, medical benefit, group life insurance etc.
