Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
∎ Higher Diploma/ Degree in Textile/ Clothing or related disciplines
∎ Skills Required: Garments Textile, Merchandising and Production., Negotiation Skills, Product knowledge, Risk Management
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Merchandising, Strong communication skills , Strong leadership and team management skill, Textile Engineering
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments, Manufacturing (FMCG), Multinational Companies, Buying House
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Structure and plan development activities to make sure the team and suppliers constantly are well prepared for meetings with buyers and seminars in terms of showing new fabrics, trims, styles for competitive prices;
∎ Ensure each product group supports the suppliers in the development phase based on your responsible brand's latest trends and the buyer's general requests;
∎ Ensure the suppliers develop new versions of best sold styles;
∎ Ensure the entire process from development to shipment are carried out based on the agreement between buyer and supplier;
∎ Secure an active role and involvement if any challenge occurs during production;
∎ Understand the performance figures and make sure each brand and product group are aware of gaps, ensure to come up with fast solutions and have close dialogue with express team in DK;
∎ Negotiate prices, capacity planning and production lead time with the suppliers and manage critical path;
∎ Ensure the performance of our suppliers and frequently evaluate them;
∎ Ensure all records, style files and samples associated with the product are maintained;
∎ Close follow up on proto and sales samples to ensure on time delivery of each style;
∎ Approval of lab dips/swatch and care labels if required;
∎ Follow up SMS, photo sample deadline, PP and shipment sample for on time approval;
∎ Follow up all suppliers are using recommended fabric and trim sources;
∎ Sourcing of potential new suppliers and factories;
∎ Train and guide the suppliers according to the BESTSELLER requirements;
∎ Be an active part of MM and other team meetings and share relevant information with your colleagues;
∎ Make sure to keep team informed about the business and execute strategic tools in your team;
∎ Ensure the team members are motivated, dedicated and continue to develop in their job;
∎ Close cooperation with the supporting teams for quality inspections, chemical requirement and CSR activities;
∎ Ensure a professional relationship to suppliers as well as buyers and designers;
∎ Make sure claims on a minimum level within agreed percent target and handle in a fast and professional way;
∎ Business trips to the suppliers and Denmark.
∎ In case of testing failure take necessary steps to overcome the issues within the deadline, in cooperation with BS Chemical team
∎ Follow up with the supplier's performance; take it up to their Top Level management to insisting on the continuous improvement where it is missing & Encouragement of good performance
∎ Success criteria
∎ Understanding the vision and strategy of the brand and develop well prepared styles, new fabrics and trim according to the trend for competitive prices;
∎ Turnover growth in the assigned brands thru well prepared offer styles for the main collections as well as closing gaps in the season on each assigned brand;
∎ You are a visible manager, close to your team and are aware of the activities going on in each brand and product group;
∎ Acting as a good role model according to BESTSELLER's founding principles.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
∎ Extensive knowledge on product costing.
∎ Strong leadership and team management skill.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
