Experience:

• Need to activewear Technical Knowledge

• The candidate should have practical experience with:

• Stretch and performance fabrics

• Spandex/Elastane blends

• Polyester and nylon activewear

• Compression garments

• Leggings and yoga pants etc .

• Strong practical experience in activewear products is mandatory/preferred.

• Good knowledge of inline, end-line, and process quality control.

• Strong understanding of garment measurements, workmanship, construction, and sewing quality.

• Knowledge of AQL, DHU, RFT, defect analysis, and CAPA.

• Strong leadership and team-management capability.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work closely with production teams and drive quality improvements.

We are looking for a Quality Sewing Assistant Manager with strong hands-on experience in activewear garments. The candidate will be responsible for controlling sewing quality, reducing defects, ensuring compliance with approved standards, and supporting the Quality Manager in achieving right-first-time production.

The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of stretch and performance fabrics, activewear construction, sewing techniques, and buyer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control sewing quality throughout the production process, from cutting input to finished garment.

• Supervise and guide inline and end-line quality teams to ensure effective quality control.

• Ensure garments meet approved PP samples, specifications, measurements, workmanship, and construction standards.

• Monitor critical sewing operations and identify potential quality risks at an early stage.

• Ensure proper sewing methods for stretch, spandex/elastane, polyester, nylon, and other performance fabrics.

• Monitor quality of flatlock, overlock, cover stitch, lockstitch, bar tack, elastic insertion, binding, and other technical sewing operations.

• Work closely with Sewing Production, IE, Technical, Cutting, Finishing, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.

• Analyze defect data and establish effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Conduct regular quality audits and follow up on corrective actions.

• Monitor DHU, defect rate, RFT, rework, rejection, and alteration performance.

• Ensure critical quality points are clearly communicated to operators and supervisors.

• Conduct quality awareness and skill-development training for inspectors, supervisors, and sewing operators.

• Support pre-production meetings, pilot runs, PP meetings, and first-piece approvals.

• Participate in buyer inspections and support resolution of buyer quality concerns.

• Ensure compliance with buyer manuals, factory quality procedures, and AQL requirements.

• Prepare and maintain quality reports, audit records, defect analysis, and improvement plans.

• Support the Quality Manager in achieving overall sewing quality and customer satisfaction targets.
