Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Receiving and interpreting garment orders, including specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
∎ Creating and maintaining time and action (T&A) plans to track progress and ensure on-time delivery.
∎ Sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely in-housing of materials.
∎ Preparing purchase orders, internal order sheets, and costing sheets.
∎ Working with designers and product development teams to create samples based on buyer requirements.
∎ Coordinating with factories for sample development, including fabric selection, print, embroidery, and wash.
∎ Monitoring sample development and production, ensuring adherence to buyer specifications.
∎ Reviewing fit and pre-production samples, addressing any comments or discrepancies.
∎ Following up with production teams to ensure timely production and meet delivery deadlines.
∎ Monitoring production processes and ensuring quality standards are met.
∎ Conducting quality checks on finished garments, ensuring they meet specifications and requirements.
∎ Arranging final inspections and inviting buyer QC (Quality Control) when needed.
∎ Maintaining clear and consistent communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
∎ Collaborating with designers, production teams, and quality control departments.
∎ Providing regular updates on order status, potential issues, and progress to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Preparing and maintaining merchandising files and records.
∎ Troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the production process.
∎ Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
