  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, program management, and implementation oversight (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.


Responsibilities & Context:

Responsible For:

  • Supporting the Senior Director in ensuring integrity, consistency, and accuracy in SAP processes across all Sectors and CSUs. Developing templates, tools, and technical guidelines for SAP planning and coordination. Serving as a liaison between the Senior Director, Sectors, and CSUs to ensure effective execution of strategic plans.

Role Purpose:

  • Friendship delivers immediate and lasting change for people in need in all contexts. As a key member of the Strategic Planning leadership team, the Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective integration and execution of high-quality, innovative programs. The Manager will also spearhead strategic initiatives while supporting the Senior Director-Strategic Planning in logistics, communication, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination.

Scope of Role:

  • Lead strategic initiatives for SAP, ensuring the system is well-integrated, user-friendly, and adaptable across the organization.
  • Follow up on online monthly report submissions, providing feedback and guidance on procedures and protocols.
  • Oversee and guide workshops and meetings that assess performance and strategic outcomes, driving continuous improvement.
  • Sectors involved: Health, Inclusive Citizenship, Education, Climate Action, Cultural Preservation, Sustainable Economic Development, Central Support Units and Enterprises.

Key Contacts:

  • Collaborate closely with SAP Focal Persons, Senior Managers, Heads of Departments, Team Leaders, and other senior staff to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Liaise with MIS teams to integrate technology solutions and feedback into SAP. 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:       

  • As a member of the team, you will facilitate and lead the development of program strategies and annual plans, ensuring key stakeholders are involved and engaged.
  • Drive the SAP system’s strategic implementation, aligning its functionality with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that SAP is uploaded and analyzed for efficient management support.
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure efficient implementation and review. 

SAP Oversight and Analytics:

  • Lead SAP data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making.
  • Oversee the online report submission process and ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance on SAP processes to ensure smooth adoption and usage across all units.
  • Collaborate with MIS teams to address system issues and implement user-driven enhancements in SAP version 2.0.

Liaison and Collaboration:

  • Act as the main contact for SAP-related communication with senior leadership, department heads, and CSUs.
  • Foster collaborative relationships to optimize process efficiency and resource utilization.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement monitoring systems to assess strategic progress and outcomes.
  • Evaluate program achievements and progress through periodic reviews and performance assessments.
  • Guide teams in applying best practices and measuring performance against key indicators.
  • Incorporate learnings from best practices into future planning and implementation cycles.
