• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.).

• Excellent leadership, team management, and cross-functional coordination abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of technical, quality, and MIS reports.

• Good communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

• Ability to lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives.

Job Purpose:

Trans Asia Industries Ltd., a renowned automobile manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Manager-Engineering and Quality Assurance. He will lead Engineering and Quality Assurance activities by ensuring product quality, compliance with engineering specifications, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The role will be responsible for quality control, process validation, root cause analysis, and implementation of quality standards to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to support manufacturing operations.

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, and other CAD software.

• Conduct weld penetration evaluation, CMM report analysis, dimensional inspection, and validation of manufactured components.

• Analyze welding quality, identify welding defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

• Review product drawings, process layouts, and manufacturing feasibility for new and existing projects.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve engineering and quality-related issues.

• Monitor continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

• Lead new product development (NPD), prototype evaluation, and process validation activities to ensure manufacturability and quality compliance.

• Develop, review, and maintain engineering and quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, quality reports, and technical records.

• Perform any other duties or assignments as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

The Candidate should have:

• Strong knowledge of Engineering Design, Manufacturing Processes, and Quality Assurance Systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, and other engineering software.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of CMM operation, dimensional inspection, and measurement techniques.

• Strong understanding of welding processes, weld quality evaluation, and defect analysis.
