Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and manage the daily operations of Textile Testing Laboratory.
∎ Coordinate and prioritize testing activities according to the need.
∎ Ensure laboratory compliance with industry standards and regulations.
∎ Develop and implement quality control procedures for textile testing.
∎ Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
∎ Investigate and address any quality issues promptly.
∎ Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
∎ Prepare an annual plan for the laboratory.
∎ Conduct performance evaluations and recommend professional development opportunities.
∎ Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
∎ Identify and recommend upgrades or new equipment as necessary.
∎ Review all customer testing protocols, and methods and arrange internal facility according to the standards.
∎ Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and industry experts to stay updated on testing methodologies and standards.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering/ M.Sc in Chemistry.
∎ ISO 17025 certification will get preference.
∎ Minimum 8 years of experience in a textile testing laboratory.
∎ In-depth knowledge of textile testing methods, standards, lab accreditation, proficiency testing (PT), fiber content analysis (qualitative & quantitative), and all fastness tests.
∎ Need to have good knowledge of RSL, MRSL, MSDS, TDS, SDS, AATCC, ASTM, operating astrophotometer and troubleshooting.
∎ Strong leadership and team management skills.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance.
