Experience:  Minimum 6 years of experience in a textile manufacturing environment, preferably in towel production.

Objective:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of textile machinery, especially dyeing, and finishing equipment.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and preparing reports.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and technical expertise.

  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the department.

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment, including dyeing machines, and finishing equipment.

  • Establish and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to maintain production flow.

  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

  • Plan and coordinate spare parts inventory to avoid production interruptions.

  • Lead mechanical upgrades, installations, and projects to improve operational efficiency and meet production goals.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of machinery overhauls and upgrades.

  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure the mechanical team adheres to them.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, machine performance, and downtime analysis.

  • Generate periodic reports for senior management on the mechanical department’s performance and key metrics.
