Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Diploma in Engineering in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from a recognized university.
• Candidates with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering may also be considered.
• Diploma holders with strong relevant solar project experience may be considered for exceptional cases.

Experience Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in solar PV, renewable energy, electrical installation, EPC or related project implementation.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in solar project installation, testing and commissioning will receive preference.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and practical solar project exposure may be considered.

Additional Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of Solar PV and Hybrid Solar Systems.
• Good understanding of inverter, battery, solar panel, charge controller, DB, protection device and mounting structure.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, material estimation and project documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a project team.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work at project sites across Bangladesh.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
• A valid driving licence will be considered an advantage.

Grameen Solar Ltd. is looking for 2 competent and technically skilled Project Engineers to join our project implementation team.

The selected candidates will be responsible for planning, supervising, executing, testing, commissioning and maintaining solar energy projects while ensuring quality, safety, timely completion and customer satisfaction.

The position requires frequent travel to project sites across Bangladesh and close coordination with clients, contractors, technicians, suppliers and internal teams.

Workplace

• Dhaka Head Office with frequent travel to project sites across Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise solar PV, hybrid solar, battery storage and related renewable energy projects from site survey to final commissioning.
• Conduct site surveys and assess electrical load, site conditions, installation requirements and project feasibility.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable routing, earthing and protection arrangements.
• Prepare or review project BOQ, material requirements and installation plans.
• Supervise installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, DBs, cables, earthing systems, protection devices and other system components.
• Ensure installation work is carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications and company standards.
• Coordinate and supervise technicians, installers, subcontractors and site workers.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion according to approved schedules.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of solar PV and hybrid solar systems.
• Identify technical problems at project sites and provide practical and timely solutions.
• Ensure proper cable sizing, termination, earthing, protection and system configuration.
• Verify the quality and quantity of materials received and used at project sites.
• Maintain daily site reports, project progress reports, installation records and commissioning documentation.
• Prepare project handover documents, test reports, as-built drawings and other required technical documents.
• Coordinate with clients and provide technical explanations regarding system operation, performance and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements and company HSE policies at all project sites.
• Provide technical support to the sales and business development teams when required.
• Support after-sales service, warranty-related technical assessment and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with procurement and management teams regarding project materials, manpower and resource requirements.
• Monitor project costs and minimize material wastage and unnecessary expenses.
• Perform any other project-related responsibilities assigned by management.
