Grameen Solar Ltd. is looking for 1 competent and technically skilled Project Engineers to join our project implementation team.

The selected candidates will be responsible for planning, supervising, executing, testing, commissioning and maintaining solar energy projects while ensuring quality, safety, timely completion and customer satisfaction.

The position requires frequent travel to project sites across Bangladesh and close coordination with clients, contractors, technicians, suppliers and internal teams.

• Dhaka, Chottogram and Rangpur

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise solar PV, hybrid solar, battery storage and related renewable energy projects from site survey to final commissioning.

• Prepare and understanding OPEX Model for Solar System

• Conduct site surveys and assess electrical load, site conditions, installation requirements and project feasibility.

• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable routing, earthing and protection arrangements.

• Prepare or review project BOQ, material requirements and installation plans.

• Supervise installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, DBs, cables, earthing systems, protection devices and other system components.

• Ensure installation work is carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications and company standards.

• Coordinate and supervise technicians, installers, subcontractors and site workers.

• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion according to approved schedules.

• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of solar PV and hybrid solar systems.

• Identify technical problems at project sites and provide practical and timely solutions.

• Ensure proper cable sizing, termination, earthing, protection and system configuration.

• Verify the quality and quantity of materials received and used at project sites.

• Maintain daily site reports, project progress reports, installation records and commissioning documentation.

• Prepare project handover documents, test reports, as-built drawings and other required technical documents.

• Coordinate with clients and provide technical explanations regarding system operation, performance and maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements and company HSE policies at all project sites.

• Provide technical support to the sales and business development teams when required.

• Support after-sales service, warranty-related technical assessment and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate with procurement and management teams regarding project materials, manpower and resource requirements.

• Monitor project costs and minimize material wastage and unnecessary expenses.

• Perform any other project-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Solar PV, Hybrid Solar & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

• Hands-on experience in Solar System Design, Installation, Testing & Commissioning

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for Solar Layout, Electrical Drawing & SLD

• Ability to prepare and understand Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Electrical Layouts & Cable Routing

• Experience in developing and implementing OPEX Models for Solar Projects

• Strong understanding of Electrical Load Assessment, Cable Sizing, Earthing & Protection Systems

• Experience in preparing/reviewing BOQ, Material Requirements & Installation Plans

• Practical knowledge of Solar Panels, Inverters, Batteries, Mounting Structures, DB, Cables & Protection Devices

• Ability to conduct Site Survey, Technical Assessment & Project Feasibility Study

• - Strong Project Coordination, Site Supervision & Team Management skills

• Ability to perform Troubleshooting, Testing & Commissioning of Solar PV/Hybrid Systems

• Knowledge of Electrical Safety, HSE & Quality Control

• Ability to prepare As-Built Drawings, Test Reports, Site Reports & Project Handover Documents

• Strong Client Communication & Technical Problem-Solving skills

• Ability to coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Business Development & Management Teams

• Basic understanding of Project Cost Control, Material Wastage & Resource Management

• Good command of MS Excel, MS Word and technical documentation

• Ability to work independently at project sites and travel when required

Preferred

Experience with On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid Solar, Net Metering and Battery Storage Projects.
