We are looking for an experienced and passionate R&D Manager to lead our Product Design and Development team for knit-based apparel. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in product innovation, sample development, buyer communication, and trend forecasting, with a strong understanding of fashion markets and sustainability trends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and development team in creating seasonal collections based on global trends and buyer requirements.

• Manage the end-to-end sample development process, from concept creation to proto, fit, and shipment samples.

• Conduct trend research and prepare reports such as mood boards, color boards, and fabric trend summaries.

• Collaborate with buyers and design teams to develop new styles while ensuring production feasibility.

• Liaise with merchandising, planning, production, and quality teams to ensure timely sample submission and approvals.

• Drive innovation and sustainability in design and fabric/trims sourcing.

• Oversee the creation of technical packs (tech packs) and 3D design simulations using advanced software.

• Ensure accurate pattern making and garment fitting for bulk production.

• Lead seasonal presentations to buyers both locally and internationally.

• Analyze buyer feedback and market intelligence to improve future product developments.

• Monitor vendor communication for material sourcing, lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and accessories within budget.

• Maintain coordination with washing and sample departments to meet development timelines.
