Job Context

Bengal Hurricane Group is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented professional for the position of Manager – Fabric Planning. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling fabric availability across the entire supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination among Merchandising, Fabrication, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Warehouse, and Garment Production teams. The role will play a critical part in ensuring on-time fabric readiness, production continuity, and shipment execution in line with approved Time & Action (T&A) plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fabric planning strategies to ensure timely availability of fabrics as per production and shipment requirements.

• Prepare and monitor fabric T&A plans from order confirmation to fabric delivery to garment production.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Fabrication, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure smooth fabric flow throughout the manufacturing process.

• Monitor daily fabric production status, including knitting, dyeing, finishing, inspection, and warehouse delivery, and ensure alignment with production priorities.

• Analyze order-wise fabric requirements and ensure optimum allocation of production capacity across knitting and dyeing facilities.

• Track critical fabric milestones and proactively identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or capacity constraints that may impact production or shipment schedules.

• Ensure fabric readiness before garment loading dates and communicate any risks or deviations to concerned stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate records of fabric inventory, WIP (Work-in-Progress), pending dyeing quantities, delivery schedules, and fabric liabilities.

• Collaborate with Merchandising and Production Planning teams to establish realistic production loading plans based on fabric availability.

• Review fabric consumption, wastage trends, and inventory utilization to support cost-effective operations.

• Conduct daily and weekly fabric status review meetings with relevant departments and follow up on action plans.

• Prepare and present fabric planning reports, dashboard updates, and critical path analyses to management.

• Monitor and improve key planning KPIs, including Fabric On-Time Delivery, Fabric Readiness Rate, T&A Compliance, and Production Support Efficiency.

• Ensure effective communication between textile and garment divisions to support smooth production execution and customer delivery commitments.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead times, improve visibility, and strengthen operational efficiency.

• Supervise and guide the Fabric Planning team, ensuring timely reporting, accountability, and achievement of departmental objectives.
