Experience:
Master of Technology in Plastics Engineering.
Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in VCM/PVC production operations. Out of the total years of experience, 4-5 years in the Deputy Manager/Manager position of any Bangladeshi chemical industry.
Experience in DCS-based plant operation and process monitoring is required.
Experience in plant commissioning, start-up, and large-scale production plants will be preferred.
Ability to manage large-scale continuous process operations and production teams.
Good analytical ability for process troubleshooting and operational optimization.
Familiarity with process safety management, HAZOP, and industrial safety standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Willingness to work in large industrial manufacturing environments and manage shift operations when required.
Job Context:
Tasnim Chemical Complex Ltd. (TCCL) are sister concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). These chemical units are engaged in the production of Caustic Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, and Liquid Chlorine. We are currently looking for Manager, Production (VCM/PVC)- TCCL. The position is responsible for managing and optimizing production operations of the VCM/PVC plant to ensure safe, efficient and continuous manufacturing. The role involves supervising plant operations through Distributed Control Systems (DCS), coordinating with maintenance and technical teams and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. The incumbent will play a key role in production planning, plant commissioning/operation, process optimization, and team development to achieve production targets and maintain consistent product quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead daily production operations of the VCM/PVC plant by supervising shift teams and coordinating process activities through DCS monitoring to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.
Monitor critical process parameters of reactors, compressors, distillation columns, and drying systems through DCS and field verification to maintain stable process conditions and product quality.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines by directing plant operators and verifying compliance to ensure safe and efficient production.
Coordinate production schedules with maintenance, utilities, and safety teams through structured communication and planning to achieve production targets with minimal downtime.
Supervise plant start-up, shutdown, and commissioning activities by following approved operational procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of VCM/PVC units.
Analyze process data, plant performance, and operational deviations using DCS trends and production reports to identify improvement opportunities and optimize process efficiency.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards by enforcing permit-to-work systems, safety practices, and risk mitigation procedures.
Guide production personnel through technical training, operational briefings, and performance monitoring to develop a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams during plant modification, troubleshooting, or process improvement initiatives to enhance operational reliability.
Maintain accurate production documentation, operational logs, and incident reports through systematic reporting to support management decisions and regulatory compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as process optimization, energy efficiency, and cost reduction by engaging operational teams and implementing best practices.
Support management in achieving plant performance goals by optimizing resource utilization and ensuring consistent VCM/PVC production.
