Job Description

United Quartz Stone Ind. Pvt. Ltd. Manufacturing Company is seeking a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Lab In-Charge to lead and manage its quality control laboratory operations. This position is critical to ensuring consistent product quality, compliance with international standards, and continuous improvement of laboratory practices within the quartz stone production process. The Laboratory In-Charge is responsible for managing laboratory operations related to artificial quartz stone manufacturing, ensuring raw materials, in-process products, and finished slabs meet quality and make product formulation and color paste making. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all production activities, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, and optimizing resources for maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory related to quartz stone raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

• Ensure strict implementation of quality control and quality assurance procedures in line with company standards and international specifications.

• Conduct and supervise physical, chemical, and mechanical tests such as strength, hardness, water absorption, thickness tolerance, surface finish, and color consistency.

• Monitor incoming raw materials (quartz, resin, pigments, additives) and approve or reject them based on test results.

• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, calibration logs, and quality documentation.

• Coordinate closely with Production, R&D, and Management teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve product performance.

• Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory testing and quality checks.

• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and safe use of laboratory instruments and testing equipment.

• Train, guide, and supervise lab technicians and assistants to maintain high efficiency and accuracy.

• Support product development, trials, and process optimization initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory.

• Prepare regular quality reports and present findings to senior management.
