• Strong knowledge of garment construction, costing, and production processes.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our team. The role involves supporting senior merchandisers in managing buyer communications, product development, and order execution to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling buyer queries related to product specifications, samples, and production status, ensuring professional communication under guidance of senior merchandisers.

• Support in development of samples (development, size set, fit, and pre-production) and follow up with design and technical teams to incorporate buyer comments for timely resubmission.

• Help prepare and update the Time & Action (TNA) doc for each order and monitor daily progress on fabric bookings, trims, and sample approvals.

• Track fabric, trims, and accessories orders with suppliers and mills, ensuring accurate booking sheets and on-time delivery.

• Maintain regular communication with production units (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing) to monitor order status and escalate issues when necessary.

• Assist in preparing order sheets, costing sheets, purchase orders, and shipment tracking reports, maintaining accurate records for audits and buyer inspections.

• Support shipment planning by following up on schedules, packing lists, carton markings, and coordination with logistics/commercial teams.

• Assist senior merchandisers in preparing initial costing sheets, fabric consumption calculations, and trim costing, while learning negotiation basics with suppliers.

• Conduct market research on fabric, trims, and competitor products to support product development and pricing strategies.

• Cooperate with QA/QC team, commercial department, and production floor to ensure smooth execution of orders according to buyer requirements.

• Maintain proper communication records (emails, approvals, purchase orders, comments) and update reports on order status, approvals, and shipment plans.

• Support in troubleshooting small production or quality issues and escalate to senior merchandisers for resolution.

• Ensure execution of orders as per Time & Action Plan (TNA) to meet shipment deadlines and buyer expectations.

• Perform any other merchandising or order-related tasks assigned by management.
