Job Context:
∎ REPORTING TO: Technical Manager
∎ MAIN ROLE:
∎ Garment Technician role will be to support team peers and suppliers in respect of fit / measurement/ workmanship & on standardization process of how to measure to have compliant product as per our group requirement.
∎ To review the performance of suppliers along with Manager and to reassess the improvement parameters.
∎ The person will work closely alongside with own team and cross-functionally with the other departments and brands to execute end to end process obtain sample from supplier, looks into pattern making to make corrections, take care of product construction and workmanship to make it production friendly, measurement of garment for fit approval, recommendation of action plan to the suppliers, ensure safety issue on samples, prepare & upload measurement report and proper communication to relevant teams.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with Technical Manager, French Modelist team & SBO office team to smoothen Brand business and imbibe the Brand values and process.
∎ Sample follow up from the suppliers.
∎ Garment FIT checking and correction of patterns.
∎ Ensure trial fit for the garments and provide recommendation & improvements to brands and suppliers.
∎ Analyse the FIT comments of brands on samples to discuss with supplier to ensure best quality before production and resolve the production issues.
∎ Obtain all necessary approvals related to fit & measures.
∎ Should be able to work under pressure of local delegations - fit & measurement.
∎ Ability to showcase the reality of the production through TOP sample.
∎ Maintain & update status regularly for FIT sample/PPS & TOP for each brand department & style wise which will be useful to work on repeat orders.
∎ Encouraging suppliers to become more active in finding the best technical solutions.
∎ Positive working relationship with all suppliers and teams.
∎ Provide good representation of the Company Policy, Codes of Practice and working process to both internal and external contacts on time and ensure that all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.
∎ Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
∎ On time Sample measurement checking
∎ Achieve target of hit rate on submitted fit sample to France.
∎ Good FIT, pattern and styling of Garment.
∎ Efficient planning.
∎ Ontime review of FIT comments.
∎ TOOLS:
∎ PLM
∎ MS Office- Word, Excel, Power Point & Sharepoint
∎ KEY INTERFACES:
∎ Within office/Department: Merchandising
∎ QA/Technical
∎ Accounting/HR/IT/Admin
∎ With the Group/Brands: Modelist team
∎ External Interfaces: Suppliers
∎ COMPETENCIES: Well organized excellent communication, inter-personal, planning abilities & multi-tasking, problem-solving skills, self-driven & proactive and can handle pressure.
∎ Strong understanding of fabric and garment.
∎ Technical knowledge about pattern making & measurement parameters.
∎ Willing to learn and able to adapt to a new environment.
∎ EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
∎ At least 5 years of experience in related apparel business.
∎ Experience in dealing with European customer's preferably French market
∎ Diploma or Degree in related field preferred
∎ With MNC Buying Office experience preferred
∎ Advantage to have manual pattern making & practical sample making knowledge
∎ Advantage to work on tools CAD-CAM for pattern making & Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
∎ Advantage to have Factory experience
∎ Excellent communication skills and good command of spoken and written English and Local Language.
