Job Context:
∎ REPORTING TO: SBO Director
∎ MAIN ROLE:
∎ Garment Technical Manager role will be to support own team and suppliers in respect of measurement standards & process of group/brands, ensure Fit & styling of product comply as per Brands` requirements.
∎ To manage all technical aspects of the product throughout the development and production cycle and to liaison on all technical and quality issues between the Suppliers and the Brands. This role carries responsibility for all product category.
∎ To be successful in this role we believe that the person should be result driven, business minded, able to manage complexity and a true team player.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with the SBO Director, Brand teams, French Modelist team & SBO office team to smoothen Brand business and imbibe the Brand values and to ensure that all team members are aligned to brand standards and process.
∎ Impart technical knowledge (process) to own team, suppliers and all related parties, train them & ensure they fully understand and deliver what is expected. Develop training courses and sessions to improve the skills of the team and modelist of supplier.
∎ Ensure all styles are risk assessed and manage with high risk standards.
∎ Ensure fit comments are highlighted timely to France team and suppliers and smooth handover of styles from development to production.
∎ Manage approvals on exceptions to process and ensure all approvals are in place related to fit comments, styling, TOP's before shipments are sent by suppliers.
∎ To maintain updated Fitting SOP, pattern and specifications other relevant documents at designated place and are available for teams as and when needed.
∎ Ensure status is updated regularly for FIT sample/PPS & TOP for each brand department & style wise.
∎ Positive & strong working relationship with Brand Teams, suppliers and within team.
∎ Regular visit to suppliers to look at the product in production and understanding of the capabilities of each factory and to discuss on improvement where it is needed. Visit potential new suppliers along with other members of the office team.
∎ To evaluate the performance of team and suppliers.
∎ Ensure pro-active, clear and transparent communication & solutions among team members, cross functional departments & other business units in the company.
∎ Provide good representation of the Company Policy, Codes of Practice and working process to both internal and external contacts on time and ensure that all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.
∎ Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

∎ Good FIT, pattern and styling of Garment.
∎ On time review of Fit comments.
∎ Reduce Sample rejection.

∎ COMPETENCIES:
∎ Well organized with good managerial skills, strong leadership, excellent communication, inter-personal, planning abilities & multi-tasking, problem-solving skills, self-driven & proactive and can handle pressure.
∎ Strong understanding of fabric and garment.
∎ Technical knowledge about pattern making & measurement parameters.
∎ Willing to learn and able to adapt to a new environment.
∎ Should have consumption and costing knowledge.
∎ 3D fitting knowledge is advantage.
∎ EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
∎ At least 8 years of experience in related apparel business, of which minimum 4 years in the management position.
∎ Experience in dealing with European customer's preferably French market
∎ Diploma or Degree in related field preferred.
∎ With MNC Buying Office experience preferred.
∎ Advantage to have manual pattern making & practical sample making knowledge
∎ Advantage to work on tools CAD-CAM for pattern making & Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
∎ Excellent communication skills and good command of spoken and written English and Local Language.
