Responsibilities & Context:
A Foreman supervises on-site construction crews, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include
Supervision and Leadership: Leads on-site construction teams and subcontractors, assigning daily tasks and supervising work to ensure productivity.
Planning and Execution: Interprets drawings, blueprints, and structural plans to execute earthworks, concrete, and structural works.
Safety Compliance: Enforces strict safety regulations, conducting safety briefings (tool-box talks), and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Quality Control: Inspects work in progress to ensure it meets technical specifications and quality standards.
Resource Management: Monitors material usage to prevent waste and ensures tools/equipment are available and in working order.
Reporting: Reports daily accomplishments, progress, and obstacles to Site Engineers or Project Managers.
Site Coordination: Coordinates work sequences for subcontractors and resolves on-site problems to prevent delays.
