Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of field-level coordination experience in SRHR, Eye Health, or Community Health projects.
  • Prior experience in patient referral management or school health programs is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous workstreams (pelvic and eye health).
  • Familiarity with rural health systems and low-resource settings.
  • Competency in using MS Excel, basic MIS tools, and Android-based data collection.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and stay in remote char locations.


Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilitie:

  • Coordinate community mobilization, screening, referral, surgery, and post-op follow-up of school children and women.
  • Maintain updated case tracking sheets for screened, referred, operated, and followed-up cases.
  • Supervise and support community volunteers, refractionists, MLOP nurses, and midwives during screening camps.
  • Coordinate vision screening activities across schools targeting children
  • Coordinate with referral hospitals and surgical teams to ensure patient readiness.
  • Facilitate pre- and post-op counseling, consent, transport, food/accommodation support.
  • Ensure privacy, dignity, and psychosocial support for women undergoing POP/perineal tear surgery.
  • Liaise with local education authorities, headmasters, and teachers for scheduling.
  • Supervise refractionists, MLOPs, and mobilizers during school-based eye camps.
  • Maintain MIS of children screened, spectacles prescribed, and complex cases referred.
  • Support the logistical flow of spectacle distribution and hospital referral for advanced eye care.
  • Engage caregivers and school focal persons for follow-up and compliance.
  • Organize and facilitate community meeting, screening camp both for children and women of the community
  • Organize and facilitate training and orientation

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Submit weekly and monthly activity reports covering both components.
  • Report service coverage, referral completion, and patient outcomes to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with MEAL and Quality Assurance teams to address service gaps.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose real-time corrective actions.

Activities:

  • Daily screenings during mobile eye camps as per the school calendar
  • Maintain child-friendly, respectful communication
  • Record findings, prescriptions, referrals, and lens orders on project MIS
  • Participate in feedback sessions and technical refreshers.
