Job Context:
∎ A renowned 100 % export based Knit Composite Garments Factory located near Mawna, Gazipur is looking for potential candidates for the position of Fireman.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The selected candidates will be responsible to address Fire Safety & Fire Fighting related issues of the Factory.
∎ The ideal candidates should have expertise & ability in the following arena:
∎ To perform general maintenance on firefighting equipment.
∎ To clean and update fire equipment and keep it ready for use.
∎ Respond to fire alarms quickly to regulate fires on the spot
∎ To monitor & ensure access free of all fire equipment.
∎ To monitor workers fire & rescue dress in floor.
∎ To monitor conditions, operation, and other activities for fire and safety
∎ To monitor proper functioning of exit light, emergency light, fog light etc.
∎ To monitor fire door functionality
∎ To monitor staircase & make it obstacle free
∎ To monitor fire equipment box
∎ To monitor electrical loose wire throughout the factory
∎ To operate firefighting and rescuing equipment such as Fire extinguished, Hydrant system etc.
∎ Candidates who have hands on experience as a Fireman in Large garments / manufacturing industries are only encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Test water hoses, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, call point, smoke detector etc.
∎ Promoting fire safety through talks, advice and training sessions
∎ To monitor floor wise fire training as per law equipment
∎ Participate in fire drills as a way to stay alert and up-to-date with job duties
∎ Performing inspection and maintenance on fire hydrants and others fire equipment's in accordance with Fire/Emergency Management Department policy.
