Job Context:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Commercial to manage import commercial operations for a 100% export-oriented woven garments manufacturing company. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sewing thread, yarn dyeing, garments accessories, banking operations and import documentation coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle import commercial activities for Sewing Thread, Yarn, Garments Accessories.
Manage L/C opening, amendment, document negotiation, TT payments, and banking correspondence with local and international banks.
Prepare, verify, and process import/export documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin (COO), Insurance, and EXP/IMP documentation.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, C&F agents, and customs authorities to ensure smooth and timely shipment clearance.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure the timely availability of commercial materials to support uninterrupted production.
Maintain effective communication with Merchandising, Procurement, Store, Production, and Finance departments for material planning and delivery.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, Customs & Bond requirements, and Import-Export policies.
Maintain accurate commercial documentation, shipment records, costing files, and ERP data.
Prepare commercial reports, shipment status, and management reports as required.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and financial institutions.
