∎ 5 to 9 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ As a Fabric technologist, you will work with a variety of materials including man-made and natural textiles. They may be responsible for developing fabrics for furnishings, textiles for use within the automotive industry. 100% Export Oriented
∎ Job Location: House # 1058, Road # 07, Avenue # 08, Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Drive Innovation & newness in raw materials and fabrics.
∎ Utilize technical expertise to develop fabrics that meet customer design aesthetic & quality requirements
∎ Build & maintain a fabric resource library to support seasonal development & reference
∎ Approve all development and bulk cuttings
∎ Coordinate all spinning and weaving meetings seasonally
∎ Travel to fabric shows
∎ Coordinate all sample yardage requests seasonally
∎ Partner closely with production and marketing strategy.
∎ Work closely with spinning, weaving and wet process team on any potential improvement issues with fabric.
∎ Recommend fabric construction changes and/or finishing to achieve required hand feel as well as passing test results
∎ Creating & managing fabric libraries, both physical & digital
∎ Provide design/guide/marketing teams with product knowledge
∎ Any other tasks assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fabric Manufacturing, Garments Textile, Wet Processing in Home Textile
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and team working skills
∎ Independent and pro-active issue resolution
∎ Customer focus and improvement mind-set Person with ownership and strong leadership quality.
∎ Leadership and management skills, budgeting ability, communication and presentation skills, ingenuity and creativity
Salary: Negotiable
