Job Responsibilities:
∎ All incoming raw materials must be held in a dedicated and clearly identifiable quarantine area until the inspection, testing and color continuity processes has been completed. Need to identify all fabric defect in width wise and length wise. In 1 yardage, max 4 points can be given but for fabric hole straight forwardly 4 points will be given
∎ For Fabric defect identification he will put a red arrow sticker and also tag on the selvage of defect side. Need to do any other job assigned by management
∎ Fabric Inspector Jobs will cut one strip from center and end like beginning to check for selvage- to -selvage and end to center shading.
∎ All ‘batches/dye-lots/rolls’ of raw materials/fabric must be inspected, tested and color assessed by trained staff on receipt, according to documented procedures, against the ‘Textile Performance Standard’, the relevant ‘Fabric Standard’ and the ‘Approved Bulk Submission Standard’. Need to cut 2 sets of defect samples to send supplier and to keep our reference. He will compile all data in fabric inspection report.
∎ After making roll wise report. He will calculate the points with formula given and declare the auditing result.
∎ He will submit the inspection report to QC Manager for further analysis.
∎ If Inspection is passed fabric will proceed for cutting.
∎ If Inspection is failed. Inspector will do another 10% inspection and submit the reports to QC in-charge. Intake records must be retained and be available on site for evaluation. Fabric Inspector Jobs will keep all the head – ends and records with respective buyer wise. Need to maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the section
∎ Need to submit fabric inspection report to in charge /QA. He will flow the guidelines for fabric inspection procedure
∎ To control any kind of defect fabric exp shading issue, shortage, shade not match with approval, more fabric defect.
∎ Monitor all testing process for fabrics.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years Quality fabric inspector experience in reputed garments manufacturing or buying office operations.
∎ Handling top end customers, quick turnaround, high quality garments and different fabrics and for strict quality assurance and compliance standards
∎ First hand communication experience with customer technical teams, manufactures to get the job done as expected date and standards
∎ Manager / In-Charge level experience in garments Factory / Buying House / Retail brand experience, producing for reputed brands
∎ Knowledge of all quality control and assurance techniques, fabric and garment performance, chemical and wear trial procedure, ergonomics, work place engineering, 5S and work simplifying techniques, AQL sampling and auditing skills, productivity improvement techniques, garment breakdowns, machines and their features, material handling systems, the different types of fabric, dying, printing, washing embellishments and finishing techniques and handling methods
Salary:
∎ Salary commensurate with experience & negotiation.
