Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - 2–5 years of practical experience as a Welfare Officer / Compliance Officer in a garments (RMG) factory
- Strong communication and counseling skills
- Sound knowledge of EPZ Labour Law, buyer Codes of Conduct, and social compliance standards
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good coordination skill with production and compliance teams.
- Experience in handling worker grievances, welfare committees and compliance audits

Responsibilities & Context: - To ensure workers’ welfare, well-being and statutory compliance by addressing grievances, maintaining a healthy work environment and acting as a bridge between workers and management in accordance with Labour Law and buyer compliance requirements.
- Act as the focal point for workers’ welfare-related issues and concerns
- Listen to worker grievances and assist in resolving issues in a fair and timely manner
- Conduct regular floor visits to identify welfare-related problems
- Promote a positive, respectful, and harassment-free workplace
- Maintain a grievance redressal mechanism
- Ensure compliance with EPZ Labour Law, factory policies, and buyer Codes of Conduct
- Maintain welfare-related documents and records
- Support implementation of corrective action plans (CAP)
- Ensure availability and proper condition of welfare facilities (canteen, drinking water, toilets, rest room, first aid, daycare etc)
- Conduct worker awareness & training session on work place related issues like workers right, safety, attendance, discipline, behavior, workplace ethics, opportunity, threat etc.
- Maintain welfare-related documents and records
- Coordinate with HR, Compliance, and Production teams to resolve worker welfare issues effectively
- Facilitate Participation Committee / Welfare Committee formation and meetings as per EPZ Labour Law
- Prepare monthly welfare activity reports and submit to management
- Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely closure of welfare-related non-compliances
- Follow up daily housekeeping activities to maintain clean and safety workplace.
- Immediately report any serious welfare, safety, or legal issue to management
- Coordinate with department heads for timely CAP closure
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all compliance activities
- Prepare compliance status reports for management
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time
