Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Apparel Manufacturing. Master’s preferred.
Certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, SA8000) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in QA department in garment manufacturing industry.
Must have direct experience working with UNIQLO or Fast Retailing Group buyers.
Sound understanding of process quality, TQM, and product safety compliance.
Strong knowledge of buyer compliance standards (e.g., UNIQLO, Inditex, Celio)
Analytical mindset with hands-on problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities·
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / UNIQLO Framework.
Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto) and CAPA management.
Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Quality Leadership – Define and implement QA strategies across sewing, finishing, and packing operations.
Policy & SOP Development – Establish and update quality manuals, SOPs, and inspection protocols.
Inline & Final Inspection Oversight – Supervise inspection teams to ensure defect-free garments and compliance with buyer standards.
Buyer Requirement Alignment – Ensure garments meet buyer-approved specifications for measurements, shade, hand feel, and finishing.
Audit & Compliance Management – Lead preparation for buyer audits, third-party inspections, and certifications (ISO, BCI, ZDHC, MRSL).
Cross-Department Coordination – Collaborate with production, merchandising, planning, and compliance teams to resolve quality challenges.
Supplier & Lab Coordination – Validate trims, fabrics, and washing quality with suppliers and labs.
Team Development – Train and mentor QA staff, build a culture of accountability, and improve inspection efficiency.
Problem-Solving & Escalation – Address recurring quality issues, propose corrective actions, and escalate unresolved challenges to top management.
Reporting & Analytics – Generate daily/weekly/monthly QA reports, analyze defect trends, and recommend process improvements.
Continuous Improvement – Introduce lean quality practices, digital QA tracking, and innovative inspection methods.
Customer Engagement – Act as the primary contact for buyers regarding quality concerns, sample approvals, and corrective actions.
