• College or University graduates, preferably in textile & clothing-related disciplines.

• At least 3 years

• Minimum 3 years or above relevant experience in Outdoor items is a MUST.

• Strong fashion sense and creative mindset.

• Good communication skills, initiative, well-organized and attention to detail.

• Experience in order follow up ranged from sample development to bulk production.

• Experience working with European markets and have offshore exposure especially in China, Bangladesh, and other Far East countries is highly preferred.

• Ability to resolve sample development and production problems.

• Energetic and able to work independently.

• Proficiency in MS Office such as Excel, Word, and Outlook Express.

• Good command of written and spoken English

• Occasional travel to different Asian countries is required.

• Frequent travel is required.

Reporting Line: Merchandising Manager / Sr. Merchandising Manager

Office location: BD Office

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supply chain management, including supplier sourcing, cost and price negotiations, handling quotations, samples, and goods production.

• Responsible for calculating price breakdown, price control, price and order quantity negotiation with suppliers.

• Assisting the R&D department to keep customers updated about market information by providing the R&D with market trend, new styles and collections, maintain close communication with suppliers, frequent visits to suppliers` showroom & keep track of any innovations from the suppliers.

• Assist in identifying potential quality and quantity issues before submitting fabric to internal and external buyers & check and approve proto and designer samples before sending to them.

• Follow up closely on the production schedule and ensure timely delivery.

• Support in acting as the bridge between internal and external buyers & production team, factories, suppliers, and fabric mills in China, Bangladesh, and other emerging markets.

• Build up and maintain a good relationship with key suppliers to deliver improved supply chain efficiently including greater flexibility, shorter lead times, re-engineering, and margin improvements.

• Coordinate closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the production order quality is up to the required standard and obtain inspection report(s).
