Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, including pattern makers, technicians, and garment technologists.
∎ Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to improve technical competency and team effectiveness.
∎ Develop and implement technical strategies and processes to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
∎ Oversee and coordinate technical activities, including pattern-making, construction, fitting, and grading.
∎ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
∎ Monitor and address any quality issues during production, collaborating with relevant departments for quick resolution.
∎ Optimize production processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce production lead times.
∎ Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality.
∎ Establish quality control procedures and ensure adherence to international quality standards.
∎ Implement quality assurance measures to minimize defects, rejections, and customer complaints.
∎ Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
∎ Collaborate with the design team to provide technical insights and feasibility assessments for new product development.
∎ Review and approve technical design specifications, patterns, and prototypes.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely translation of design concepts into final products.
∎ Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement in production processes.
∎ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
∎ Prepare regular reports for senior management on key performance indicators.
∎ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in garment manufacturing.
∎ Foster a collaborative and proactive work environment to drive innovation and achieve departmental objectives.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 38 years
∎ Strong technical knowledge of garment production processes, pattern making, and quality control.
∎ Proficiency in using CAD software for pattern making and garment design.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
∎ Strong project management and leadership abilities.
∎ Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to garment manufacturing.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams (both verbal and written)
∎ Strong analytical and organizational skills.
∎ Excellent communication skills,
∎ Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
∎ Ability to adapt to new technologies and trends in the industry.
