Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop new sweater designs based on seasonal trends, buyer requirements, and market research.
∎ Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for sample development.
∎ Coordinate with the sample and development team to ensure accurate execution of designs.
∎ Select appropriate yarns, stitches, gauges, and colors in line with design aesthetics and cost targets.
∎ Prepare mood boards, color palettes, and trend forecasts to guide seasonal collections.
∎ Communicate effectively with buyers, merchandising teams, and production to ensure design intent is maintained.
∎ Monitor and evaluate sample approvals, making necessary adjustments to meet buyer standards.
∎ Keep up to date with global fashion trends, competitor analysis, and innovation in sweater design.
∎ Ensure timely delivery of design files, samples, and tech packs.
