Job Context:
∎ Project: Site development Project, funded by IOM
∎ Unit : Humanitarian Response
∎ Duration : Till 31 March 2020 but have a possibility of extension
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical leadership for planning and designing site development schemes in accordance with the IOM's site plans'
∎ Coordinate with the IOM engineering team for site improvement assessments, scheme designs, site and plans for ensuring standards set out by IOM and ISCG;
∎ Assist the Operations Manager to develop implementation plan, cost analyses, scheme-wise budget, tender specifications, etc.;
∎ Provide technical support to develop site development strategies and methodologies for the implementation of the project activities in close coordination with other site development partners in camps;
∎ Lead regular field visits to project sites for monitoring progress of activities, verify quality of work and provide regular feedback to the site development team and vendors as required and advise field engineers for corrective measures;
∎ Ensure that the project activities are aligned with objectives and help achieve the goals;
∎ Cross-checking of designs and planning, implementation process, and impact assessments of CFW work;
∎ Prepare necessary estimates, drawings, designs and BoQ of CFW (Cash for Work) schemes
∎ Carry out necessary procurement activities for construction work;
∎ Prepare AutoCAD drawings, plans, construction, repairs, renovation, BoQ and maintenance.
∎ Any other task assigned by the line Manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least five years' working experience in civil engineering and one year in Rohingya response
∎ Experience in CCCM/Site development is highly desired specially Cash for work (CFW).
∎ Excellent understanding on field operation and CFW program implementation.
∎ Preparing drawings of roads, drainage, slope stabilization, bridges by using advanced software.
∎ Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point & AutoCAD 3D.
∎ Good communication skills and experience in working with community people.
∎ Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
∎ Capacity to produce quality reports independently.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 110500 (Monthly)
∎ Salary and benefits : Gross Salary BDT. 110,500 with other admissible benefits such as medical benefit, group life insurance, mobile allowance and modem allowance etc.
