The organization is seeking a highly capable Deputy Manager / Manager – Solar Design & Operations to lead solar engineering, project execution, and operational excellence initiatives. The role will be responsible for ensuring optimal system performance, operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and the successful delivery of solar energy projects in alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka (with periodic visits to project sites as required)
Job Responsibilities: (Solar Design)
Lead the end-to-end design and engineering of solar PV projects, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid systems.
Prepare preliminary and detailed system designs, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical drawings, and engineering documentation.
Conduct site assessments and technical feasibility studies to determine optimal system configurations.
Perform solar energy yield analysis, system sizing, shading analysis, and performance simulations using industry-standard software.
Design DC and AC systems, including module stringing, inverter sizing, cable sizing, protection systems, and interconnection requirements.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, utility requirements, electrical codes, and international standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop the solar design team to ensure technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities: (Solar Operations)
Ensure maximum plant availability, generation efficiency, and operational reliability through effective maintenance planning and execution.
Monitor solar plant performance and analyze operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for solar PV systems and associated electrical equipment.
Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, monitoring systems, and balance-of-system components.
Manage plant monitoring through SCADA, remote monitoring platforms, and performance analytics tools.
Conduct periodic inspections, audits, and performance assessments to ensure optimal system operation.
Lead and develop the operations team by providing technical guidance, training, and performance management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
