Additional Requirements:
  • Age At most 45 years
  • Minimum 10-12 years of hands-on experience in product development for garment accessories manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of various garment accessories (e.g., labels, hangtags, elastics, packaging items, etc.), including material properties, production processes, and finishing techniques.

  • In-depth knowledge of material sourcing, production processes, and costing techniques.

  • Experience in handling international buyers, brands, and liaison offices, ensuring timely sample development and approvals.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems used for product development and order tracking.

  • Sound understanding of global compliance standards, sustainability requirements, and relevant certifications (GRS, OEKO-TEX, FSC, etc.).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and drive continuous process improvements.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

  • We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager/Manager - Product Development for our garments accessories manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of expertise in product development and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. This role involves managing the entire product development cycle, driving innovation, ensuring quality, and meeting customer requirements within tight timelines and budget constraints.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept initiation, design feasibility, sampling, testing, and final approval, ensuring all projects align with customer specifications, market trends, and company objectives.

  • Work closely with internal teams such as design, R&D, merchandising, production, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless coordination, timely development, and launch of new products.

  • Responsible for independently handling and guiding others of assigned sampling functions involving all types of garment accessories (Hang Tag , Printed Labels, Carton Sticker etc).

  • Collaborate with design and technical teams to develop detailed product specifications, material selections, color approvals, and prototype samples, ensuring technical feasibility and manufacturability.

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with raw material and trim suppliers, both local and international, to source high-quality materials at competitive costs.

  • Oversee the sample development process to ensure timely delivery and adherence to customer specifications and quality standards. Monitor and review product quality at every development stage.

  • Work closely with the production team for smooth handover from development to bulk production.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any bottlenecks or issues that arise during development.

  • Maintain proper documentation of all development activities, costing sheets, technical sheets, and client communications. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding project status and key developments.

  • Mentor and guide junior product development staff. Conduct performance reviews, skill development programs, and encourage a culture of innovation and accountability within the team.

  • ensure customer satisfaction at all stages of product development.

  • Any other task assigned by the management.
