Educational Requirements:
∎ A university degree, preferably a post-graduate degree in relevant subject areas social science, development studies, statistics or relevant discipline.

Job Context:
∎ Types of contract : Contractual
∎ Duration : One (1) Year
∎ Relationships: S/he will report to Manager - Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) of MEAL Unit.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
∎ 1. Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountabilities:
∎ Develop monitoring, evaluation and learning system and guidelines for partners.
∎ Develop detail M&E Plan for establishing M&E at field level.
∎ Develop project M&E database aligned with AAB central database.
∎ Develop appropriate M&E tools for data collection.
∎ Undertake regular field visits to monitor and check accuracy of data collection and use of tools.
∎ Regularly update project data into AAB's M&E data management system;
∎ Support to design and conduct partners' assessment, baseline study, survey and review.
∎ Generate project M&E report as and when required; and
∎ Ensure compliance and quality of data in line with AAB and donor requirements.
∎ 2. Documentation, Reporting and Dissemination
∎ Regularly update project data into AAB's MIS system.
∎ Prepare different periodic reports in coordination with other team members.
∎ Prepare field visit reports that reflects Programme process and regular progress against plan and share with key responsible persons to improve and ensure quality deliverables.
∎ Provide support into the six monthly and annual reports for the donor, Government of Bangladesh and others as required.
∎ Develop stories of change & lessons learnt based on the activities of partners to be shared via internal and external mechanisms.
∎ Support the Project Manager in developing and revising the communication strategy for sharing information across social media, website and other platforms.
∎ Support documentation of lessons learnt and key changes for the project.
∎ Ensure that all M&E related information and documents are stored in secure locations (online and offline) in line with the donor requirements.
∎ 3. Capacity Development and Partnerships
∎ Conduct initial capacity assessments of partner organisations' on their knowledge and understanding on M&E
∎ Design and facilitate capacity development initiatives for project and partner staffs regarding M&E.
∎ Contextualization of courses on M&E with AAB Country M&E Strategy

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of or more of progressive working experience in project monitoring and evaluation in the development sector.
∎ Technical:
∎ Extensive hands on experience in implementing M&E strategies and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
∎ Knowledge of MS Access, SPSS or similar database management/statistical software package will be an advantage.
∎ Ability to design and conduct study, research, survey.
∎ Demonstrative skills on capture learning, innovation, knowledge management and dissemination among different stakeholders.
∎ Excellent knowledge and use of internet, social media and software packages (i.e. MS Office, etc.);
∎ Understanding on ToC and measure progress as per depicted in ToC.
∎ Have hands-on experiences on PM&E.
∎ Experience in using mobile technology/mobile based database in M&E will be as an advantage.
∎ General:
∎ Demonstrated competence skills in report writing and record keeping in English and Bangla.
∎ Team player with strong experience in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environments.
∎ Ability to work under extreme pressure and meeting deadlines
