Education:

Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 23 years
  • 5-7 years of experience in salt manufacturing, edible salt processing, chemical industries, or quality control laboratories.

  • Experience in iodized salt production will be given preference.

  • Sound knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control systems.

  • Familiarity with BSTI standards and food safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory documentation.

  • Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Conduct physical and chemical analysis of raw salt, processed salt, and finished products as per company standards.

  • Monitor and control product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Perform routine laboratory testing, including moisture, purity (NaCl content), iodine content, insoluble matter, and other relevant parameters.

  • Ensure compliance with BSTI standards, food safety requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and testing records accurately.

  • Prepare and review laboratory reports, certificates of analysis (COA), and quality documentation.

  • Monitor iodization processes and ensure correct iodine dosage in edible salt production.

  • Investigate quality deviations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to maintain consistent product quality.

  • Conduct incoming raw material inspections and approve or reject materials based on test results.

  • Assist in developing and improving production processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.

  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of laboratory chemicals and reagents.

  • Maintain laboratory safety standards and comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and certification activities.

  • Maintain calibration records of laboratory instruments and testing equipment.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management.

  • Support new product development, process optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Perform any other laboratory and quality control-related duties assigned by management.
