Strong knowledge of metal production and fabrication processes.

Practical knowledge of cutting, bending, welding, grinding, assembling and metal finishing processes.

Sound knowledge of painting/coating processes and quality standards.

Strong leadership, team management and people development skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Ability to work under pressure and achieve production targets within deadlines.

Strong knowledge of production planning, productivity improvement and cost control.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting.

We are looking for a highly experienced, dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead our Metal Unit, comprising Metal Production, Fabrication, Assembling and Color Sections. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient production operations, optimum utilization of manpower and machinery, product quality, productivity, cost control and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the Metal Production, Fabrication, Assembling and Color Sections.

• Prepare and implement production plans in line with organizational targets and delivery schedules.

• Ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations through effective planning, coordination and supervision.

• Monitor daily production targets, output, productivity, rejection and wastage, and take necessary corrective actions.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and other production resources.

• Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, grinding and other relevant metal works.

• Ensure proper assembling and finishing of products according to approved specifications and quality standards.

• Oversee the Color/Paint Section and ensure proper surface preparation, painting/coating quality and finishing standards.

• Maintain and improve product quality through effective quality control and continuous monitoring.

• Identify production bottlenecks and implement appropriate solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.

• Minimize production loss, material wastage, rework and rejection.

• Ensure effective coordination with Planning, Maintenance, Quality Control, Store, Procurement and other concerned departments.

• Monitor the condition and performance of production machinery and coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, production processes and safety standards.

• Maintain proper discipline, housekeeping and 5S practices throughout the department.

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly production and performance reports to Management.

• Analyze production costs and take initiatives for cost reduction and process improvement.

• Develop and implement initiatives for increasing productivity, improving quality and reducing manufacturing costs.

• Lead, guide, motivate and develop departmental manpower, including engineers, supervisors and workers.

• Ensure proper training and skill development of employees working under the Metal Section.

• Handle departmental problems promptly and take effective decisions to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
